Javier Amaya

Javier Amaya (Bayamón, Puerto Rico) graduated with a B.F.A. in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College under the direction of Katie Langan. He also studied at the American Dance Festival and at The Ailey School, where he was a fellowship recipient. Amaya joined Dayton Contemporary Dance Second Company and has performed works by Shonna Hickman-Matlock, Jirí Kylián, Trisha Brown, Robert Battle, Donald Byrd and José Limón.
