A dancer's view on touring

Posted December 29, 2008 2:52 PM in Luna on Tour

My experience on tour was pretty basic but very fulfilling. It is pretty typical, wake up, eat, chant (I practice Nichiren Buddhism), have ballet class/warm-up, and tech/rehearsal, and then show. The audiences have been really responsive and nice and seem to know what they are watching, which is comforting. The great thing however is that Eduardo, our director, does an informal Q&A. I really like meeting the audience and talking and sharing with them. This company is very unique in the since that it really does put the spread of culture and education first which is very important in this country. What better way to spread peace than to share culture and educate people?
