Luna Negra Best of Chicago Sun-times' "A Year in Dance"

Luna Negra Dance Theater in a rare and altogether splendid revival of "There Is a Time," a masterwork by modern dance pioneer Jose Limon. A work of breathtaking beauty, great depth and a touch of genius, it lifted the Luna Negra dancers to a new level and they, in turn, brought a vividness and dramatic punch to the piece that made it seem altogether new. Hopefully, it will become the company's signature piece for years to come.
