Luna Negra Dance Theater celebrates the opening of its 10th Anniversary with an exceptional line up of works by contemporary Latino choreographers.

The program features the Chicago Premiere of There is a Time, a masterwork by José Limón, one of the most prominent American choreographers (of Latino origin) in modern dance; the world premiere of deshár alhát (Leave Sunday) with live music by Stefani Valadez, a ground-breaking work by Eduardo Vilaro exploring the fascinating traditions, music and culture of the Sephardic Jews who settled in Latin America in the early 20th century; and a new work by emerging Mexican choreographer Francisco Avińa.
