    Luna Negra Dance Theater sizzles into spring with artistic Director Gustavo Ramírez Sansano’s Picasso-inspired, contemporary take on Bizet’s beloved Carmen.  This world premiere work is a creative collaboration among three prize-winning artists:  choreographer Sansano, Spanish fashion designer David Delfin, and set designer Luis Crespo, and marks the company’s first-ever full evening-length production.

    Luna Nueva 2012

    Luna Negra will launch LUNA NUEVA 2012, June 7-10, at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. LUNA NUEVA features cutting-edge contemporary dance works created by young, up-and-coming Latino choreographers, and the inaugural season will premiere three new works by Gustavo Ramírez Sansano, Mónica Cervantes Rodriguez, and guest artist Diana Szeinblum.
