Luna Negra Dance Theater is the only Latino contemporary dance company in the country that is solely devoted to the works of Latino choreographers. We provide a unique platform for Latino artists to give expression to their stories and to bring new life to the culture of their communities.
This would not be possible by relying on ticket sales alone. Charitable contributions provide over 70% of the funds needed to support the creation of new works, the revival of masterworks, and our extensive education and outreach programs in Chicago public schools. Only with the ongoing support of dedicated contributors can we continue to bring great performances and educational programs to youth and dance lovers in the many communities we serve, and to provide exciting opportunities for Latino choreographers and artists.
